This year the NCSM conference is held in Indianapolis, just steps from Lucas Oil Stadium, home to the 2012 Super Bowl and venue for our Thursday evening Reception. Indianapolis is also home to the Indiana Pacers, giving us the opportunity to experience NBA basketball and find out more about Sports Marketing from a Pacer’s marketing executive on Wednesday evening.
We are also excited to offer attendees the opportunity to tour Roche Diagnostics' U.S. research and development, laboratory, manufacturing, distribution, information technology and corporate headquarters on Friday afternoon and learn more about Pharmaceutical Sales. Friday’s activities will conclude with an Awards Dinner featuring a presentation by Jack Phillips, CEO of Roche.
As always the conference boasts some great teaching sessions, including teaching tips and workshops, special sessions and plenty of time for making new connections and catching up with old friends.
There are several pre-conference sessions, including a session to acclimate and welcome doctoral students. This year we are dedicating time to research presentations each day of the conference, including two doctoral student paper sessions and three competitive paper sessions featuring an array of diverse and relevant topics. Back by popular demand, the research roundtable session on Thursday promises to be an afternoon of collaboration among colleagues. The conference sessions end Saturday at noon after a full morning of research presentations and teaching sessions.
